The St. Mary Cathedral Home and School Association will hold its 24th annual dinner auction Feb. 22 celebrating Mardi Gras, a news release said.
Doors for the fundraiser will open at 4:30 p.m. at Ray's Conference Center, 3257 William St. in Cape Girardeau. The event will include dinner with a Cajun accent catered by Ray's of Kelso, King Cakes, beverages, and silent and oral auctions, according to the release.
Fanfare, a St. Louis band, will play New Orleans jazz and the cash bar will be open all night, the release said. After the auction, there will be "Bourbon Street after Hours" with continued celebrations, including a dance.
Tickets are $30; after-party tickets and alcoholic beverages will be available for additional fees, the release said.
The raffle this year is "Lotsa Cash," a progressive raffle that has been ongoing since September. Each raffle ticket holder has a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize to be awarded at the auction itself, the release said.
Each Sunday for 15 weeks leading up to the auction, winners receive $100 cash prizes, and five winners get $500 cash prizes, the release said. Second prize to be drawn the night at the auction is $1,000, the release said. Any winner along the way has, or has had, their name put back in the barrel and could be drawn multiple times throughout the raffle, the release said.
Tickets are available at Knaup Floral and Guys Big and Tall, through any school family and may be bought at the St. Mary School office by calling 335-3840.
