A 27-year-old Anna, Ill., man was reported in critical condition at St. Francis Medical Center Saturday night after he was thrown from his vehicle earlier in the day.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported Jimmie Rambau was driving north on Route 177 five miles north of Cape Girardeau at 11:03 a.m. when his 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck went off the roadway and struck a tree.
In another accident, the patrol reported a Marble Hill man was taken to St. Francis Medical Center Saturday after a two-vehicle accident west of Jackson on Route 34. He was later released from the hospital.
Terry Camp, 39, of Marble Hill was driving westbound when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a 1995 Plymouth driven by Minnie Pennebaker, 60, of Daisy while Pennebaker was waiting to turn left.
Both were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
