AMERICAN LEGION SPONSORS BLOOD DRIVE WEDNESDAY

The American Red Cross blood services will sponsor a community blood drive Wednesday in the convention center of the Holiday Inn. Hours will be from 2-7 p.m.

The American Legion Auxiliary will sponsor the drive. The goal is 100units of blood.

Blood donations tend to run behind during the summer months as donors skip their regular schedule for a blood donation due to vacations and other activities.

Ironically, the need for blood often increases during the summer due to accidents from travel and other causes.
