The American Heart Association reaches the rest of the community through wellness programs for companies (Heart at Work), Food Festival Week, health screenings, speakers, and through exercise programs for the older adult (Heartwalkers).

A new program entitled Nurses Cholesterol Education will be introduced soon. The program will benefit the health professional sector. Women: Heart Disease is also a priority for the local chapter.
