An Allenville man was killed Friday afternoon when the car he was driving ran off the road while traveling on Route NN.

The accident occurred two miles north of Highway 25 between Delta and Advance, Mo.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report, 39-year-old Donald L. Williams was driving on Route NN when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road. Williams overcorrected and the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, struck several trees and overturned.

Williams' passenger, 48-year-old Tracy L. Thomas of Advance, was seriously injured. She was taken by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center. Neither Williams nor Thomas were wearing seat belts, according to the highway patrol.

The accident happened around 1:50 p.m. Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton pronounced Williams dead at 3:14 p.m.
