SIKESTON -- Proceeds from a record album will benefit the Second Harvest office and Second Harvest food banks, including the food bank at Sikeston.
The Merle Haggard tribute album, entitled "Mama's Hungry Eyes," contains songs by some of country music's most popular artists. The campaign began Nov. 25 and will continue through next year, culminating in the album's release and a TNN television special in November 1994.
Artists performing Haggard's songs on the album are: Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Randy Travis, Pam Tillis, Alabama, Vince Gill, Steve Warner, John Anderson, Lorrie Morgan, Willie Nelson, Radney Foster, Brooks & Dunn, Emmylou Harris, Diamond Rio, Lee Roy Parnell and Marty Stuart.
