East Missouri Action Agency's weatherization program has received notification of 1994-95 program funding.
The program will receive $245,982.
It is administered through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Division of Energy. The program is completely funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
The program is for low-income people in an eight-county area of Southeast Missouri at 125 percent of poverty guidelines. Historically, priority has been given to elderly and handicapped people.
Weatherization services consist of: sealing air infiltration leaks, window and door repair and, or replacement, installing attic insulation, wall insulation, floor insulation, and heating system repair and or replacement.
Interested people may apply at their local East Missouri Action Agency county outreach office.
Clients will be placed on a waiting list, but there are no waiting lists in some counties.
