ADVANCE, Mo. -- An Advance farmer is the first to claim the top prize of $250,000 in the Missouri Lottery "Season's Greetings" scratch-off game.
Richard Beussink, 56,
bought the ticket in late November at the Amerimart convenience store, 102 S. Oak St., in Advance, according to a Missouri Lottery news release.
Beussink said he plans to use some of the winnings to purchase new farm equipment.
According to the lottery, Beussink is the second big winner in Advance in recent years.
Aaron Cantrell claimed the top prize on a "$200,000 A Year for Life" ticket in 2010.
