ADAM WHITESIDE GETS GOOD CITIZEN AWARD FROM DAR

Adam Whiteside, a senior at Meridian High School in Mounds, Ill., was honored with a Good Citizen Award by the Daughter's of the American Revolution at its annual luncheon.

Whiteside has been involved in student council, Beta Club, Foreign Language Club, Gifted Program, yearbook staff, baseball and basketball and many other extracurricular activities at Meridian.

He was chosen for this award because he is dependable, demonstrates leadership and patriotism and for his essay on "Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility to Preserve It."

Whiteside is the son of Tommy and Lisa Whiteside.
