The Higher Learning Commission, a regional accreditation organization, announced Three Rivers College has successfully eliminated weaknesses in strategic planning and student outcomes assessment, a college news release said.
According to the HLC, the college has removed weaknesses that threatened its accreditation status, the release said.
When Dr. Devin Stephenson's tenure as president began in 2009, Three Rivers began changing its organizational structure and brought college and community leaders together to create a five-year plan called "Vision 2015," the release said. The college also merged its planning and budgeting processes, the release said.
Dr. Maribeth Payne was hired to oversee strategic planning for the college, the release said. She provides direction in the college's digital planning platform, the release said.
