One man is dead and four injured in four separate vehicle accidents on Sunday.
Travis Clements, 24, of Perryville, Mo., died after his southbound vehicle ran off Route 51 north of Perry County Road 604 and struck a tree. Miller Family Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
A second accident occurred on U.S. 61, just north of Cinque Hommes Bridge in Perry County.
Michael Schamburg, 17, of Perryville, received serious injuries from being ejected from his vehicle when it ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned. He was taken by Air Evac Helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
In Cape Girardeau County, an accident occurred on Highway 177, eight miles north of Cape Girardeau.
Kyle Maevers, 22, of Altenburg, Mo., received serious injuries from being ejected from his northbound vehicle when it ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned. He was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center.
In Ste. Genevieve County a car accident occurred on northbound I-55 just south of Route Z.
John Kinnison, 49, of Perryville, was taken by ambulance to Perry County Memorial with moderate injuries.
Mark Harper, 44, of Bloomsdale, Mo., received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial.
Both vehicles were northbound in the driving lane when Harper's vehicle struck the rear end of Kinnison's vehicle.
