Accident near Perryville injures two

Two women from Sedgewickville, Mo., were flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau after they received moderate injuries in a Saturday morning car accident south of Perryville, Mo. Mae L. Dickerson, 80, was driving north on Highway 51 when she went off the right side of the road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. She overcorrected and her vehicle, a 1981 Skylark, skidded across the road and overturned. Dickerson and her passenger, Shirley A. Barnes, 51, were not wearing seat belts. The accident occurred at 10:13 a.m. Saturday, a half mile south of Perry County Road 704.
