ACCIDENT KILLS TWO ANNA TEENS

ANNA, Ill. -- Two Anna teenagers were killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident near here.

The Illinois Highway Patrol reported that Kyle Mowery, 18, the driver of the vehicle, and Aimee Dillow, 17, a passenger, were both dead on arrival at Union County Hospital in Anna following the accident.

A patrol spokesman said the accident occured on Lick Creek Road, about three miles west of Interstate 57. Mowery was driving northbound, when he apparently lost control of his vehicle in a curve, ran off the roadway and overturned several times, the spokesman said.

Both Mowery and Dillow were thrown from the vehicle. Authorities said neither were wearing seat belts.
