School board candidates for the Jackson R-2 School district will meet the public on Tuesday, March 21 from 7-9 p.m. at the Jackson Junior High School Library.
The "Meet the School Board Candidates" forum is sponsored by the Jacksonian Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) to help voters make informed school board choices.
Candidates competing for open seats on the board are incumbents Marvin Adams and Jeanette Bollinger and newcomer Jewell Beauchamp. All candidates reside in Jackson.
"Meet the School Board Candidates" is an annual event sponsored by ABWA as a community service project.
The moderator for this year's event will be Suzanna Baylon, a news reporter from KFVS-TV.
All registered voters and taxpayers in the R-2 school district are invited to attend. Babysitting will be provided and refreshments will be served after the forum.
Those with questions or concerns regarding the "Meet the School Board Candidates" public forum should contact Pearla Murphy at 243-5349 or Saundra Perry at 651-3566.
