The City of Roses Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold a membership drive at 7 p.m. Thursday at Drury Lodge.
The membership theme is "Open the Doors of Opportunity," and will focus on personal and professional growth opportunities for businesswomen.
The guest speaker for evening will be Dr. Neyland Clark, superintendent of the Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
He will speak on Proposition B, the education tax which voters will consider Nov. 5.
Founded in 1949, ABWA is an influential national organization with a membership exceeding 100,000 women who are employed in diverse professions and levels of business. ABWA has more than 2,100 chapters throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
