Cape Girardeau County Tax-Aide volunteers will be helping area citizens with 2001 tax returns at four sites in Cape Girardeau starting today.
Laverne Nothdurft of Whitewater, AARP Tax-Aide Region 9 Coordinator, said 30 volunteers have completed training and are IRS certified working tax volunteers at sites in the Southeast Missouri area through April 15.
The four sites in Cape Girardeau are:
Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope, from 9 a.m. to noon each Monday.
Cape Public Library, 711 N. Clark, from 1 to 4 p.m. each Monday.
Cape Senior Center, 921 N. Clark, from 9 a.m. to noon each Wednesday.
Red Star Baptist Church, 1301 N. Main, from 1 to 4 p.m., first and third Wednesday.
Opal Collins of Cape Girar-deau is coordinator for the city of Cape Girardeau.
