There is a chance of severe thunderstorms today, according to a statement issued by the National Weather Service office in Paducah, Ky.
The biggest hazard, according to the weather service, will be large hail and the chance of supercell thunderstorms or isolated tornadoes. As much as an inch of rain could fall, causing a slight risk of flooding, especially in areas with poor drainage.
