8TH DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES WILL HOLD FORUM

Candidates for the 8th District congressional seat will discuss issues at a voters forum at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The forum will be held at Dempster Auditorium on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. It is sponsored by The League Of Women Voters of Southeast Missouri, the university's departments of political science and mass communication.

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-Cape Girardeau, will face Democrat Tony Heckemeyer and Libertarian John Hendricks Nov. 3.

Glenda Quinn, a member of The League of Women Voters, will moderate the timed question-and-answer format. League of Women Voters voter service chairman Cindie Jeter will announce.
