8TH DISTRICT CANDIDATES TO DEBATE MONDAY

Four of the five 8th District congressional candidates are scheduled to attend a candidates forum Monday at Grace United Methodist Church.

The forum on the congressional race will run from 1-3 p.m. in the church's fellowship hall at Broadway and Caruthers.

Independent/Republican candidate Jo Ann Emerson, Democrat Emily Firebaugh, Libertarian Greg Tlapek and Natural Law Party candidate David Zimmer are scheduled to attend.

Dr. Peter Bergerson, chairman of the political science department at Southeast Missouri State University, will serve as moderator.

The forum is sponsored by AARP/Vote, the American Association of Retired Persons' voter education program.
