He admitted to robbing a UMB Bank branch in Kansas City of $8,755 on Dec. 22. Cannon was arrested at his home after someone recognized him in a surveillance photograph.

Cannon told prosecutors he first tried to rob a US Bank branch but left when the teller said she didn't have any money.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend that Cannon be put on probation, given his age, mental condition at the time of the robbery and his service in the U.S. Air Force.
