ST. LOUIS -- Eight St. Louis firefighters suffered minor injuries after two fire trucks collided while responding to a call.

Fire chief Dennis Jenkerson said two trucks responding to a blaze Friday in north St. Louis met at an intersection. One truck clipped the other, causing the second pumper to flip onto its side.

Eight firefighters, four from each company, suffered minor injuries and were sent to hospitals.

All but one were to be released Friday. One with a concussion was being kept overnight for observation.
