The Cape Girardeau County 4-H program recently held its annual achievement day and county fair at the county extension office in Jackson.

About 150 4-H members, parents and community volunteers participated in the two-day event. This annual event included activities such as a bicycle rodeo, fashion revue, county fair 4-H project exhibits, public speaking, good grooming, demonstrations and judging events.

There were 301 exhibits at the fair, with 14 rosette ribbons given to the "Best of Show" 4-H project exhibits. Of the 301 exhibits, 35 projects were sent to the Missouri State Fair to be displayed this week.

Fair rosette winners:

Andrew Telle, Woodworking II; Jessica Reisenbichler, Photography I; Erin Fields, Photography II; Arielle Bohnert, Visual Arts I; Kate Kirchdoerfer, Visual Arts II; Michelle Dirnberger, clothing for children younger than 14; Kate Kirchdoerfer, clothing for children 14 and older; Katie Clark, self -determined project; Charlie Meier, muzzleloading; Amanda Morrow, Computers II; Andrew Telle, gardening; Blair Hinkebein, horsemanship; Chelsea McDowell, foods; and Amy Wichern, breads.

The fashion revue rosette winners: Michelle Dirnberger for the younger than 14 division and Kate Kirchdoerfer for the 14 and older division.

Bicycle rodeo winners:

Kurt Kranawetter, first place; Cody Tuschhoff, second place; Claire Illers, third place; and Adam Kirchdoerfer, fourth place.
