30 SEMO students head to Washington, D.C., for seminar

With an eye on global issues, 30 Southeast Missouri State University students are participating this week in a five-day seminar at the prestigious Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.

Students representing every college and regional campus at Southeast were nominated during the fall semester by their deans or the Office of the President for participation in the CSIS seminar. Students will discuss such topics as "The U.S. Free Trade Agenda," "India on the World Stage" and "Global Health Debate."

Southeast is one of just four institutions nationally selected to partner in student seminars with CSIS. The CSIS Global Strategy Institute is a research center that focuses on longer-range forces shaping political, economic and social trends across the world.
