NOMINATING ORGANIZATION: United Way of Southeast Missouri
WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THIS NOMINEE DEMONSTRATES THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA?
United Way of Southeast Missouri nominates Kevin Greaser, our former board president and current board member, as someone who personifies the Spirit of America. Kevin has served our organization since 2012, always demonstrating exemplary commitment and passion. Kevin invests his valuable time and energy in United Way because we invest in our community, which he dearly loves. He has steered our organization through several difficult transitions, always making time to help where needed and ask what needs to be done to help our organization and, more importantly, to help the community we serve.
Kevin's devotion to Southeast Missouri extends to serving on a wide variety of other boards and committees, including the Chamber of Commerce Community Development Committee, the Cape Girardeau Public Library, the Salvation Army and Cape Area Habitat for Humanity. A Cape Girardeau native, Kevin has volunteered in varying capacities with the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes. He even wore a wig and disco'd down the runway for Safe House for Women!
A devout Christian, Kevin was instrumental in the phenomenal success of the first Men's Prayer Breakfast and ongoing devotional groups. He has held numerous positions in the financial industry with Morgan Keegan, Regents Bank, and currently as Community Bank president of Alliance Bank.
Kevin graduated from Notre Dame Regional High School and Southeast Missouri State University, institutions he continues to support. Kevin's cheerful willingness to help and his ability to cultivate relationships, funds, and measurable progress are invaluable to every cause he supports and to the people of Southeast Missouri.
