KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Two business executives who were helping to restructure the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences have resigned.
The two say they have lost confidence in the leadership of the osteopathic medical school, which has been embroiled in controversy since firing its president in December.
The Kansas City Star reported Tuesday that Susan Stanton, executive administrative officer at the school, and Linda Falk, the new chief financial officer, resigned Friday.
Stanton said she did not have confidence the leadership was making necessary changes.
University spokeswoman Natalie Lutz says the university would not comment because the resignations were a personnel matter.
The university fired longtime president Karen Pletz in December and several other administrators have been fired or resigned. The university and Pletz have sued each other.
