KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ten people have been arrested after a crime spree that included an armed robbery, kidnapping, two car jackings and a standoff. One of the car jackings involved a U.S. Postal Service van.
The Kansas City Star reported that police began receiving reports about the crimes Saturday afternoon.
While investigating the car jackings, police learned that a man and his 11-year-old nephew had been robbed at gunpoint.
Police said that the boy was forced into a vehicle with the suspects, but later escaped.
Police went to where the alleged kidnappers took the boy.
Six of the suspects surrendered immediately. But it took more than three hours for the last two suspects to surrender.
No one was seriously injured.
