Those in Cape Girardeau county celebrated veterans in many ways on Thursday for the official Veterans Day holiday. Jackson High School hosted their annual coral concert and assembly to honor local veterans. The Joint Veterans Council conducted their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Freedom Corner in Capaha Park. The Cape Central High School Marching Tigers and local VFW members held a parade at the Missouri Veteran's Home in honor of the veterans. Back in Jackson, the annual Veteran's Day parade commenced uptown.
