Following the emergency face mask order issued by the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center which went into effect on Monday, almost all Cape Farmers Market customers and vendors abided by the local health guidelines and wore masks while shopping Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the open-air market in the West Park Mall parking lot. Market manager Marilyn Peters said masks were offered to customers who arrived without a mask and exceptions were allowed for people with health complications.
