Thebes Courthouse 'Doors Open'

The Thebes Courthouse was open for tours Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 in Thebes, Illinois as part of the Doors Open Illinois events statewide for the Illinois bicentennial. The courthouse was the Alexander County seat from 1845-1860. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and underwent a major renovation ending in 1976.
