Rick, The best one I remember is when the well known voice of KMOX radio was hired to give a commencement speech for a nearly all white STL school.
His speech was inspiring, conservative leaning and right on but the media overshadowed that with the surprise of the audience upon his enter even after he got a standing ovation. They had listened for years and never knew he was black. :)
