It will put millions to work, and possibly put a damper on those rebelious states seeking to secede.

  • Careful, you may create a run on high top boots if it gets any deeper. :)

  • Makes just as much sense as a crazy petition for Missouri to secede.

  • ...and that crazy Declaration of Independence. What's up with that, anyway?

We have a nation in which the majority apparently now believes they are entitled to have other people pay their bills and provide them things with the fruit of their labour.

We went to war over that concept many years ago, when some believed they were entitled to own people and have those people labour for the benefit. Now, it seems, the idea that we can use the power of government to take monies from one group of people and give it to another has grown in popularity to the point that it appears irreversible.

There is nothing 'crazy' about wanting to distance oneself or one's state from that kind of thinking. What is 'crazy' is to adhere to the idea that one many is entitled to the fruits of another's labour.

  • $852 quadrillion? What the heck. Might as well. Obama doesn't know the value of a trillion.

  • It's only what comes after a trillion. million billion, trillion, quadrillion.

It's only 12 zeros instead of 9. Obama runs a trillion deficit like it means nothing.

  • "...20 individual States who have petitioned."

Individual states have not petitioned. Individual people with a weak understanding of the country and society today have petitioned.

And it is clearly their right to do so, just as it was the right of Don Quixote de la Mancha to assail his adversaries.

Are you talking about understanding but not joining the moocher class that the taxpayers support? Some of us still have ambition and self pride.

With cost overruns it could easily run into the quintillion range. But, every year we delay it, it will only get more expensive.

I may be cheaper to simply convert the moon to that purpose. I propose a study be conducted towards that end.
