Speak Out: Carnahan is trying to manipulate the legal system.

Posted by We Regret To Inform U on Mon, Sep 20, 2010, at 8:54 PM:

This socialist thinks SHE has the right to use others property without permission. The republicans used the Obama clip against her and she can't come up with her own ad without thieving. BTW the Obama clip really showed the true Carnahan. She is toast.

  • And the Blunt clip shows the true Blunt. I would think you would look at Mr. Blunt's relationship with the big lobbyists, his relationship with Tom DeLay, and what he attempted to slide into the Homeland Security measure before you call Carnahan a thief.

  • Regret, I cant see where any good has ever came from a Carnahan in office?

Regarding this race, I have yet to hear what good will come from either candidate.

  • People see what they want to see. Likewise, they don't see what they don't want to see.

Looking up copyright law I found two sentences that pretty much sums up why this is legal:

"You can edit and parody the recorded content as long as the new version adds new value (insight, understanding, aesthetics) to the original."

"You also can edit an episode of a TV show to show specific lines a character says to demonstrate that character's attitude toward a topic. "

which is exactly what the ad by Carnahan did

On a side note, I almost spit out my coffee laughing when I saw the article refer to Fox News and objectivity in the same sentence.

  • There is hope.

Some of the lbs can now say Fox News correctly.

  • We all know that Rant is the most objective commentator on any subject whatever, for he is an honorable man of great intellectual renown and regard.

Bet he can even say Fox News correctly when exerting extreme effort.

  • I am amazed at the ignorance of this "we regret to inform you" person! I shouldn't be, but yet I still am amazed everytime I see him make a blog post. I have to read it to see what kind of pathetic one-sided and usually just plain ignorant ramblings he'll come up with next. Carry on regret... carry on!

  • Liberal Patriot

You must be one of the leeches like Ike.

-- Posted by We Regret To Inform U on Tue, Sep 21, 2010, at 4:01 PM
  • Regret, maybe he is a reincarnated Ike. That poor lad has had more resurrections than most liberals can count.

The only question is how do they manage to get their Welfare check transferred so often. The secrets of the moocher class are truly amazing.

  • the stereotypes are a bit extreme, I am a left leaning moderate, less lefty than I post on here since you right wing nuts tend to post so much ridiculous far right things, anyway, not all liberals get welfare checks, probably very few of the liberals that voted for Obama get welfare.

    Here is an interesting Stat:

9 of the top 10 states with highest percent of people receiving welfare voted for Obama

8 of the top 10 states with the highest percent of people receiving food stamps voted for McCain (including missouri)

  • Hey Rant, a fella's gotta eat! If you ain't got yourn, you ain't as smart as we've given you credit fur!

-- Posted by voyager on Tue, Sep 21, 2010, at 10:42 PM
  • Futile, Does this mean food stamps are not welfare?

-- Posted by Old John on Tue, Sep 21, 2010, at 11:39 PM
  • Food stamps are welfare in a sense but they are two seperate aid programs.

For example Missouri had 101,000(+/-) people

recieving welfare in 2008, but had 949,000(+/-) people recieving food stamps.

there you go Rick. You will see Bond & Blunt on there more than anyone.

  • It's kind of hard to buy into the whole moderate, not as liberal as I post when in the next sentence you address right wing nuts.

  • Reminds me of a "well timed edit" video on Fox New's Hannity show. Pot say howdy to kettle.

  • Voyager, if you think that only liberals recieve govenment assistance then you are just as stupid as you appear to be on these forums! Plenty of rebel flag tatoos and Dale Jr. shirts in line with their hands out and I'm pretty sure they didn't vote for our current President!
