Doughnut review
Hey Rebecca! You overlooked possibly the best glazed doughnuts in our area at Jackson Donuts! Try some, they are the best I've found. Certainly deserve a spot in your top five.
Corporate welfare
Giving money routinely to corporate farms and ranches isn't socialism. It is welfare from the wealthy to the wealthy. That simple.
Classified docs
Biden says he takes classified documents seriously, that's right, he seriously took them and got caught. Can't blame this one on Trump no matter how much he tries.
Double standard
When Trump was hiding classified documents from the National Archives and had to be subpoenaed to get them back some Republicans defended him and said he had a right to have them. When Biden was found to have classified documents in his old office some Republicans were screaming for impeachment. Sounds like hypocrisy and a double standard to me!

No idea about rates locally, but happy that the higher-risk factors are being singled out, rather than spread the costs across the entire pool.
Perhaps a compounding frustration here on insurance costs, between those who don't work to minimize losses under the flippant premise of that's what insurance is for, and insurance companies which apparently don't screen and categorize and separate out these high-risk applicants very well.
Went with the 'Limo Emu' company a few years ago as having the best rates. Kinda got to wondering about the correlation between the year-over-year increasing rates against attracting those internet-savvy, but higher risk types with all their advertising driving everyone's rates up... I was pretty sure my house and vehicles aren't valued correspondingly at the 50% rate increase seen over the five years since first signing up with them...

Kia means "recall" in Korean anyway . People take a risk buying one of those rice rockets to begin with .

What is "ChatGPT" and why do students love it
.....................
What is ChatGPT and why are schools blocking it?
Ask the new artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT to write an essay about the cause of the American Civil War and you can watch it churn out a persuasive term paper in a matter of seconds.
That’s one reason why New York City school officials this week started blocking the impressive but controversial writing tool that can generate paragraphs of human-like text.
The decision by the largest U.S. school district to restrict the ChatGPT website on school devices and networks could have ripple effects on other schools, and teachers scrambling to figure out how to prevent cheating. The creators of ChatGPT say they’re also looking for ways to detect misuse.

Been looking around after ChatGPT caught my attention.
Pfffft, figure it'd be easy to determine cheating, as it seems almost too good, too perfect.
Consider those with the mindset of using this technology towards ill-gotten gains such as better grades could not deliver anything written without the usual plethora of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
Now, if the artificial intelligence can go so far as to display this lack of intelligence, then we've got problems... :-)~

Methinks hand written only term papers being accepted would spell the end of ChatGPT , no pun intended .
It's a dangerous thing , computers thinking for theirselves , or something similar as this . Should computers start talking to each other , there's no telling what kind of crazy ideas they'd come up with that nobody knew anything about.
Plus it could dumb down Society like it's never been dumbed down before ...

The news reports that I have seen are for the low end cost cars by both companies who did not include the anti-theft options on these cars....the balance of the models have these anti-theft devices. One thing we all have to worry about is the theft of the catalytic converters on any make of automobile or truck.

Doughnut review: A policeperson's delight!
Corporate welfare: Don't talk with your mouth full of food!
Classified docs & Double standard: Let's wait and see what the Congressional and DOJ investigations come up with and hopefully the results will be politically free from any bias!

DT: Can young folks even write nowadays?
Plus it could dumb down Society like it's never been dumbed down before....
DT: Once watched a Sci-Fi movie where the humans were dumb as rocks and a time traveler arrived and took over the planet because he could think even though he was somewhat stoned - didn't think that could ever happen but one never knows! LOL, don't think the movie won any awards!

Heheheh, triggered a memory of Earl Pitts, American. Made it a point to listen to his commentary everyday on WBVR "The Beaver" in Russellville, KY during my time there.
Can't find the actual clip, as it was 30-something years ago, but he was going on with and ranting about the challenges with his wife, Pearl, who had just bought a copy of the Kama Sutra, eager to try out all these new positions.
Complained that Pearl needed to know only four positions to make him happy - Cook, Clean, Sex, and OFF.

Could be mixfused but I believe Earl Pitts can still be heard around 6:00 A.M. on radio station 93.9 FM every morning .
He can sure come up with some stuff too ..:)

Just reading some past inputs and this car theft business is getting serious. I am in the outskirts of the St Louis area and the car thefts are crazy. Just a few days ago the cops chased a stolen car with 4 kids in it. Officer got them pulled over and was at the window, kid takes off and hits the cop with the stolen car. Chase begins again and the kid exits I70. They abandon the car in a couple of blocks and run for it. They catch two of them about a block from me. Don't know if they ever caught the other two.
The suburbs are where many of these cars are being stolen. Twenty minutes out of the Ferguson, North St. Louis area and they are car shopping. And if it is not the whole car the Catalytic Converters are their targets. One of my tenants is having problems with it. Back lot has a 6 foot chain Link fence with three strands of barbed wire around it. They go over it or cut a hole. We have lights and cameras. The perps are dark complected according to the cameras. I think a really big nasty dog might be the answer. If one of them leaves their nads on the barbed wire while departing, he won't reproduce.

6:00am is sleeping in late over here . Early morning hours around 4:00am is the most peaceful time of day , 'bout the only thing better then watching the Morning Star and Moon is the sunset..
Those car thefts and hot converts , gots to get out making those green papers ..converts are only a couple days in the caged accomadations and this time of year ain't so bad getting out of the weather for a couple days ...

For whatever reason Missouri decided to start selling weed today instead of Feb.8th .
So there's gonna be some goofy drivers out and about this weekend higher then a Georgia pine , it all depends how much THC is in this new weed they're selling . The drunks are already out there and now the weed's going be out there too ..some folks will be both at once , that's the bad ones .
Good luck .

Google’s AI chatbot Bard had an inaccurate response in public demo
Shares in Google’s parent company Alphabet fell 7.7% Wednesday, wiping $100 billion off its market value, after the inaccurate response from Bard was first reported by Reuters.
Bard’s blunder highlights the challenge for Google as it races to integrate the same AI technology that underpins Microsoft-backed ChatGPT into its core search engine
