Clippard Elementary School at 2880 Hopper Road in Cape Girardeau is graced with five maple trees, new flower gardens, a water fountain and a new rock garden spelling "Clippard" thanks to an innovative program called Lowe's Heroes. Rubbermaid donates to local food pantry
Rubbermaid collected more than 1,400 canned goods and nonperishable items in a company food drive. Items were donated to the Jackson Ministerial Alliance food pantry to help local families during Thanksgiving.
Rubbermaid installs shelves for local school
Employees from Rubbermaid cleaned up and installed some new wire shelving in the gym closets for the Immaculate Conception School in Jackson. Jeff Anderson, Rick Mirly, Lance DeBrock and Lee Watson volunteered their time and completed the project. The closets are now more organized and have more room for storing gym items.
The Friends of Saint Francis present $160,000 to center
The Friends of Saint Francis presented Saint Francis Medical Center with $160,000 during The Friends' annual banquet, supporting the Parents With Hope fund and the Level III neonatal intensive care unit transport team at Saint Francis. Steven C. Bjelich, right, Saint Francis president and chief executive officer, accepted the donation from Dan Atkinson, vice president of The Friends Board of Directors. The Parents With Hope fund provides financial assistance to families of premature or critically ill newborns in the Level III NICU at Saint Francis.
