SCHOLARSHIPS

  • David Berry of Cape Girardeau received a Westminster College dean's scholarship and a scholarship from the Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club. He will play tennis at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.
  • Jordan Casper of Jackson received a Community College Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University. Tamry Wickware of Cape Girardeau and Sunni Campbell of Jackson received a MAP Scholarship. Lacy Sanders of Jackson received a Missouri Leadership Award.
  • Deanna Dippold and Jessica Reisenbichler of Saxony Lutheran High School received scholarships from the Cape Girardeau Evening Lions Club.

HONORS

  • Jake Burns of Notre Dame Regional High School was selected to attend the 2008 Congressional Student Leadership Conference on Medicine and Healthcare. The 10-day conference, sponsored by LeadAmerica, allows students to practice diagnosis and treatment and meet experts.
  • Rachel Ruopp of Cape Girardeau made the dean's list at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind., for the spring 2008 semester.
  • Jennifer Pancoast of Cape Girardeau made the dean's list at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring 2008 semester.
  • Molly McGuire of Cape Girardeau received spring 2008 semester honors for ranking in the top 10 percent of her class in her college at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

GRADUATION

  • Jan Eftink graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., on May 10. She received a bachelor of accountancy and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
