* The following local students have been awarded Scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2012-2013 academic year: Trevor Cannon of Chaffee, Mo., Lacey Duckworth of Leopold, Mo., and Chelsey Rhoda of Benton, Mo., all received the Missouri Leadership Award.

* Corey Robertson, Keagan Cavanah, Andrew Overmann, Ethan Gibbon, Colton Goth, Caleb DeLoach, Evan Johnston, Kyle Randolph and Aaron Lies, all of Jackson, will attend the American Legion Boys State of Missouri in June.

* Thomas Harold McGowan of Cape Girardeau and Megan Amanda Davidson of Millersville were named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
