Lindsay Shell was named a Beta Scholar by the National Beta Club, which entitles her to a scholarship award of $1,000. Shell was selected for her academic standing and commitment to leadership and service in their school and community. She plans to attend Oakland City University in Oakland City, Ind., in the fall and pursue a career in Christian family counseling. Shell is a senior at Woodland High School in Marble Hill, Mo., and is the daughter of Rick and Donna Shell and granddaughter of the late Vernon and Hallie Fisher Shell of Marble Hill and Alan and Sara Herring of Bryant, Ark.
Kelsey Fellows of Jackson was selected to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists 2013 Student Leadership Development Program. Fellows is a radiology technology student at Southeast Health College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She will attend the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Educational Symposium and annual Governance and House of Delegates in Albuquerque, N.M., June 13 to 16. Fellows also was selected by the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists as a student intern.
Teagan Schnurbusch, sophomore at Jackson High School, was selected to participate in the Missouri Department of Agriculture's Missouri Agribusiness Academy on June 3 in Springfield, Mo. Schnurbusch will learn about many of the unique opportunities available in agriculture and meet with leaders in agriculture, government and education. She is involved in the Jackson FFA chapter and is the daughter of Pat and Jennifer Schnurbusch.
