* Austin Johnson, a 2011 graduate of the University of Missouri's College of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo., presented his senior paper at the International Telemetering Conference in Las Vegas in October. Johnson graduated as an electrical engineer and is employed with Basler Electric in Highland, Ill. He is the son of Ken and Tarolyn Johnson of Cape Girardeau and the grandson of Ed and Ann Gerler of Gordonville and Joan and the late Jack Johnson of Cape Girardeau.
