Dean's lists

* Caitlin Yeargain of Cape Girardeau was named to the fall 2013 dean's list at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. This honor recognizes students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

* The following students were named to the fall 2013 dean's list at Harding University in Searcy, Ark.: Wesley Martin and Kelsey Martin of Cape Girardeau, Celeste Bolen of Jackson and Bethany Nicholson of Sikeston, Mo.

* The following students were named to the fall 2013 dean's list of Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.: Ellie Kidd, Jack Mocherman and Jessie Ritter of Cape Girardeau and Erin Gould of Anna, Ill. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a grade-point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

* The following students were named to the Mineral Area College dean's list for fall 2013: Brooke L. Schwettman of Cape Girardeau; Chelsea A. Kirn of Friedheim; Sierra C. Jones of Old Appleton; Lauren N. Bert, Mary D. Brown, Mary C. Cairns, Paige N. Craft, Kaycee L. Erzfeld, Michaela J. Kohm, Jewelia G. Leuckel, Cherishe A. Lytle, David A. Mercer, Nichelle M. More, Jennifer L. Ponder, Kathryn J. Pruiett, Alex J. Thieret, Marisa K. Waller, Adara R. Whited, Jennifer M. Wibbenmeyer and Rebecca L. Wisdom of Perryville, Mo.; and Cierra J. Davis of Sedgewickville, Mo. To be eligible for the list students must earn no grade below a C or incomplete grades, be enrolled in at least 12 hours and have a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher.

* The following students were named to the fall 2013 dean's list for Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.: Ryan Brock of Scott City and Mollie Crader of Burfordville. Qualifiers must be enrolled full time and achieve a 3.5 or higher grade-point average on CMU's 4.0 grading scale.

Academic Achievement awards

* Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo., announced its academic achievement award recipients for the fall 2013 term: Christen Clary and Karen McCall of Jackson; Valerie Carlson of Patton, Mo.; and Brenda McKown of Sikeston, Mo. To earn such recognition from CMU's College of Graduate and Extended Studies, a student must be enrolled full time and have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the semester.

Graduates

* The following students received degrees at recent commencement ceremonies at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo.: Jill LeGrand of Cape Girardeau graduated with a master of business administration; Amber Walker of Jackson graduated with a master of education; Cody Kern of New Hamburg, Mo., graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science; and Ashley Bryant of Sikeston, Mo., graduated with a master of business administration.
