HONORS, ACHIEVEMENTS

* Vance Toole of Cape Girardeau Central High School was presented with the Sportsmanship Award at the 2011 Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament, which recognizes a student who displays success on the court, in the classroom and in the community, according to a news release from SoutheastHEALTH. SoutheastHEALTH's SportsCare donated $250 to the school's athletic department as an acknowledgment.

* Alexander Dunn, son of Olivia and Mark Dunn of Cape Girardeau, participated in the American Legion Boys State of Missouri at the University of Central Missouri-Warrensburg in June.

* Laura G. Bowlin of Cape Girardeau; Blake A. Hooe and Brooke D. Grubb, both of Jackson; and Elizabeth M. Rozier and Adam R. Buchheit, both of Perryville, Mo., were named to the dean's list at the University of Central Missouri-Warrensburg for the fall 2011 semester.
