Open play auditions

The River City Players will audition people for its next production, "Getting Sara Married." There are roles for three men and three women. The audition will be a cold reading, so no preparation is required. Auditions will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at Port Cape.

SEMO Gun Show held today

Gun dealers and enthusiasts can gather for the annual SEMO Gun Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at these Arena Building. For more information, call 339-6340.

Cherokee Moons, Seasons and Celebrations

Just as people today celebrate events of importance throughout the calendar year, so do the Cherokee. Join guest presenter Chief Paul White Eagle to discover the meanings behind these special times and understand why these are sacred to the Cherokee. Presentation will be at 2 p.m. at Trail of Tears State Park.

Trinity Lutheran Church holds picnic

Pork steak and fish plates including German potato salad, slaw and a drink will be served. There also will be hamburgers, cheeseburgers, homemade pie, ice cream and drinks. Serving starts at 4 p.m. at the Fairgrounds in Altenburg, Mo.
