Sorority holds 50th year 5K for charity

Running for Ronald, a 5K walk/run to celebrate Alpha Delta Pi sorority's 50th year at Southeast Missouri State University will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. Library hosts author program and book signing

Joel Rhodes, author of "A Missouri Railroad Pioneer: The Life of Louis Houck," will present an author program and sign books at 2 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Rhodes is an associate professor of history at Southeast Missouri State University and lives in Cape Girardeau.

St. Anthony's holds fall dinner

All-you-can-eat kettle beef, chicken and dumplings, dressing and all the trimmings plus desserts and drinks are included in the St. Anthony's Parish fall dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Glennon, Mo. Discounted price for children 6 to 12; children younger than 5 eat free.
