Southern Illinois man completes basic training

Michael M. Love graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Love completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of James and Claria Love of Tamms, Ill., and grandson of Allison and Collin Boyd of Anna, Ill. Love is a 2009 graduate of Egyptian High School in Tamms.
