On Jan. 15, Benton Boy Scouts Pack 36, attended a day of events hosted by the Kennett Scouts Pack 272. The three hour event consisted of games such as, Torch Run, Whistle Marathon, Bean Toss, Paper Discus, Cracker Whistle, Javelin, Shot Put, Biatholon, Foot Race, and a Block Push. Scouts from all over the area came to compete.

Among the Benton Pack that attended was Jeremiah Worley (Tiger), Jason Bain, Rylan Lemonds, Ethan Wisdom, Tyler Schwartz (all Wolves), Noah Hupp (Bear), Corey Bailey (Webelos 2). Leaders and additional family members also attended this event.

All Scouts that attended received a badge and ribbons awarded to the top five. Benton Scouts brought home 31 ribbons.

Worley: 5th in Torch Run and Whistle Marathon, 4th in Bean Toss and Paper Discus, 3rd in Cracker Whistle, and 1st in Javelin & Shot Put.

Bain: 3rd in Cracker Whistle and 1st in Paper Discus and Bean Toss

Lemonds: 3rd in Bean Toss and 2nd in Biatholon

Wisdom: 5th in Torch Run, 4th in Bean Toss and Paper Discus, and 2nd in Cracker Whistle

Schwartz: 4th in Bean Toss, Foot Race, Cracker Whistle, and Torch Run

Hupp: Received 7 ribbons

Bailey: 4th in Foot Race & Block Push, and 1st in Biatholon and Torch Run

After the event, Scouts went to Holcomb, Mo., to enjoy barbecue from Strawberries BBQ.
