But when they step out on to the court, these cheerleaders are all business. Their coach, Nikie Burch, said they are extremely accomplished for their age. The nine-member squad is young, but what it lacks in experience it more than makes up for in passion...

They've been known to laugh uncontrollably -- daily. The Kelly High School varsity cheerleading team knows how to have fun.

But when they step out on to the court, these cheerleaders are all business. Their coach, Nikie Burch, said they are extremely accomplished for their age. The nine-member squad is young, but what it lacks in experience it more than makes up for in passion.

When did you start cheerleading? I started in middle school, in seventh grade. I fell in love with it, and it's just continued.

What drew you to cheerleading? It's just a lot of fun. But it's also challenging. You have to work really hard to succeed.

What is your most memorable moment in cheerleading? That would have to be my freshman year when we went to the regional competition and took first place.

What's your favorite movie? "P.S. I Love You."

What's your favorite food? My grandma's Mexican chicken casserole. It has chicken and a lot of cheese, and it's really good. And it has Doritos.

What's your favorite high school memory? My senior year when I found out that I made captain of the cheerleading squad. It was pretty unexpected.

What's one thing people might be surprised to know about you? I love Elvis Presley.

Jade Rampley, co-captain

Age: 14

Position: Flier

How did you get involved in cheerleading? I started cheerleading in seventh grade. My sister was captain of the high school squad and she started teaching me everything, and I just tried out.

Why do you like cheerleading? It's fun, and I like hanging out with all my friends. It's tough learning everything and having it down. It's like a challenge every time.

What's your favorite stunt? A stepover. It's like a partner stunt. The main base, she stands directly underneath and I put both feet in both of her hands and she pushes me up.

What's your favorite TV show? "Gilmore Girls" and anything on the Food Network.

Who's your idol? My older sister and my mom. I also look up to my grandma.

What do you want to do after high school? I want to go to college. I want to do something in the nursing field, something to do with anesthesia.

What advice would you offer new cheerleaders? Work hard, smile and keep your motions tight.
