Elaborate landscaping surrounds the entrance of this brick home on the border of the Bent Creek Subdivision. Pink tea-leaf roses appear near the right-hand corner of the white fenced porch.

Trimmed evergreens and small bushes contrast with red rocks around the front. A long concrete walk is the pathway to the front door of the home, which sits on a hill overlooking a lake. Two upstairs bedrooms extend spire-like above the roof.

Inside the small foyer is the entrance to the combined living room and dining room. To the left is one of two master bedrooms and in front, the stairs to the upper level.

Red-brown walls line the living room/dining room combination. The Berber carpeting is bi-color, light and neutral. Two ceiling fans keep air circulating, and the front living area features a log fireplace.

After the tornado in 2003, this home was rebuilt from the foundation, and everything appears brand new. The kitchen emerges to the left of the dining room. Adjoining it, the family room extends over a three-car garage with three separate doors.

The family room was added when the home was rebuilt, is combined with the kitchen and has a vaulted ceiling. A door from this room leads out to the deck overlooking the wooded area in back.

The kitchen has 18-inch, light-colored tile on the floor and green and black Formica countertops. A built-in microwave, flanked by plentiful cabinet space, hovers over a black oven that matches the black side-by-side refrigerator. A double aluminum sink faces a long bar with room for several tall stools, forming a link to the family room.

Counter space extends on both sides of the sink, to the right of the refrigerator and on both sides of the stove. There is a large pantry with space above and below the counter on the left-hand wall of the kitchen.

The laundry room extends from the side of the kitchen and just past that, the entrance into another master bedroom suite. The main floor master bedroom faces the front of the house. Two picture windows overlook the front porch. This bedroom has a walk-in closet with linen racks.

The main floor master bathroom has a double sink, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Counters are light yellow, and the floor is covered with 12-inch pale tile. There is an additional half bath on the main floor near the front living area.

Upstairs, one of the master bedroom suites stretches through the greatest portion of this level, with three closets, including one walk-in. This master bath has double sinks, a separate shower, tub and a separate linen closet.

In addition to the upstairs master bedroom, there are two other medium-sized bedrooms on the upper floor. One of these two bedrooms offers a view of the lake on the adjoining subdivision. Both upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans, picture windows, ample closet space and light, neutral carpeting.

The basement of the home is finished, with clean and concealed storage areas and two additional utility rooms. The smaller of the utility rooms has 6-inch off-white tile on the floor and could serve as a sewing or computer room. The larger, carpeted room could function as a weight room, game room, family room, recreation room or an additional bedroom.
