The City of Roses Music Heritage Association needs talented young musicians for the River City's Got Talent competition that coincides with the River City Music Festival Sept. 26 and 27. The City of Roses Music Heritage Association needs talented young musicians for the River City's Got Talent competition that coincides with the River City Music Festival Sept. 26 and 27.

Students in two categories can show off their vocal or instrumental talents on stage at the festival. The younger group consists of musicians in grades six to nine; the second is students in 10th through 12th grades.

All participating students will receive two free tickets to the music festival, a T-shirt with their name on it and their name posted as a participant on both the Music Heritage Association and music festival websites.

The winning student will earn a grant to be used to improve the music department at his or her school.

Students must be submitted through their school. Schools can nominate two students.
