Concert fund-raiser for Vision House

New McKendree United Methodist Church-South Campus will host a fund-raiser concert at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 23 for the Vision House in Cape Girardeau. The concert will feature solo artist Julie Walker. Admission is free, though donations for the Vision House will be accepted. Refreshments will be served and child care provided. New McKendree has hosted four similar concerts in the past four months, raising over $10,000 total for local charities such as the Safe House for Women and Network Against Sexual Violence.

Lewis Bock to speak at Grace UMC Sunday

Lewis Bock will speak on the topic of "A Statement on Faith" at Grace United Methodist Church Sunday at both the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services. Bock is an elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and active in the Men's Fraternity ministry. Glad Heart, a Southern Gospel Quartet from Southern Illinois, will provide special music.
