Ramblewood Garden Club's flower show at Cape Girardeau Public Library featured 154 entries across horticulture and design divisions. Edna Ruth Fischer and Judy McDowell won top awards.

Ramblewood Gardn Club presented a Small Standard Flower Show Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30, at Cape Girardeau Public Library.

Classes in both horticulture and design divisions were filled with entries by the garden club members. Horticulture sections consisted of annuals, perenials, cacti and succulents, container grown/blooming plants, house plants/trocpial and arboreal. Trays, table for two, exhibition table type II and creative line-mass designs were the classes in the design division.

Accredited flower show judges from the St. Louis area and Fulton judged the show with ribbons and awards being presented. There were 154 entries with 24 members participating. Edna Ruth Fischer was a winner with heer exhibition table design and Judy McDowell won the top awards of horticultureal excellense for her prayer plant, Maranta leuconeruro, in the house plants/tropical section.
