It was on a dark and dreary day,

when they drug him from his bed.

They stripped down his garments,

and put a crown of thorns on his head.

They took him to the streets,

and whipped stripes on his back.

They placed a heavy cross on his shoulders,

He looked at Jesus and said, "We deserve to be,

but you committed no sin, that I can see."

"But Jesus if you are the son of God,

and when you go to heaven on high,

"Surely you will be by my side."

The clouds turned dark, and the thunder began to roar.

The people were scared, some ran, some fell to their knees. Loud voice echoed out for everyone to hear.

But Jesus said" Father, forgive them, for they

know not what they've done."

They didn't realize,

that I was your only begotten son."

The pain was so intense that he begged for it to end,

and with a sigh, he hung his head and died.

And the people then realized what they had done,

all left, but three and they knelt at his feet and cried.
